Rapid Resolution Therapy
Rapid Resolution Therapy (RRT) is a therapeutic approach developed by Dr. Jon Connelly that aims to facilitate swift and lasting resolution of emotional and behavioral difficulties, including trauma and other distressing experiences. It is a brief, solution-focused therapy designed to bring about positive change efficiently.
RRT operates on the premise that unresolved traumatic experiences and negative emotions are stored in the subconscious mind and continue to influence an individual's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. By accessing and reprocessing these subconscious patterns, RRT seeks to alleviate symptoms and promote emotional well-being.
The therapy incorporates a variety of techniques from different therapeutic modalities, including elements of cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), hypnosis, guided imagery, and neuro-linguistic programming (NLP). Through a collaborative therapeutic relationship, the therapist guides the client in identifying and transforming the subconscious barriers that contribute to their difficulties.
One of the distinctive features of RRT is the utilization of a process called "Multi-level Communication." This technique helps individuals access and reprocess subconscious memories and beliefs without requiring them to consciously recall or re-experience the traumatic events. Instead, RRT focuses on the subconscious level of communication, enabling the client to resolve conflicts and release emotional distress more efficiently.
Rapid Resolution Therapy is typically a brief intervention, with many clients experiencing significant improvement within a few sessions. The therapy is gentle, non-invasive, and respects the individual's pace and readiness for change. It can be effective in addressing a wide range of concerns, including trauma, anxiety, phobias, depression, grief, and addictions.
